Solo Race Potential for Cold and Snow Eco friendly race

The Blackfoot Ultra is ran in the Blackfoot Provincial Recreation area near Edmonton, Alberta. The 25 km loop is ran 4 times to make up the 100km distance.

Ran in early spring the weather can vary significantly at the Blackfoot Ultra. One year it may be snow and sleet with a temperature of -10 Celcius (14 Farenheight) and the next it could be sunny and 30 degrees Celcius (86 Farenheight).

Don't let the fact that this is the Alberta prairies fool you, the rolling hills are constant on the course and take their toll. With a 14 hour cut off for the 100 km distance this is a fast race early in the year.
